“Transportainment” means the combination of transportation and entertainment, and it allows your group to receive a highlight tour of the city as you make your way from one location to another.  Working in combination with the Mission Valley Resort, we can offer you the following combinations:

1.  Group prices for individuals

The public tour can be accessed by purchasing “advance tickets”.  For groups of 15 or more, these tickets are offered at a discounted group rate of $24.00 per person, $15.00 for children and free for children 3 and under.  This ticket is good for one day of free individual travel on our public transit system. This ticket also allows people to begin their tour anytime during the day at any one of our eight different locations. Mission Valley Resort has a stop right at our door step. If you want to be free and travel as you please, this is the ideal way to have a fun day out.

2. Group traveling together

Chartering a trolley allows a group to be picked up at our hotel and enjoy a two-hour tour around San Diego and Coronado. The rate for this tour (based on a 25 passenger minimum) is $23.00 per person (a $7.00 discount from the regular price) and includes taxes and tips.  
This chartered tour option also allows you to make stops along the tour route. The trolley waits for the group to return from their activity. There is a $60.00 per hour additional fee for an up to 3 hour wait for this service.  

If you would like to stop at any location for more than three hours, we will waive the $60.00 per hour fee. Our trolley will leave to perform other services, and return to pick up your group at the designated time to continue your tour. This allows you to coordinate a full day’s activity while remaining very cost effective. 
 
After regular operation hours, transportation services will be available at a rate of $130.00 per hour for a four-hour minimum. If you require any time beyond the three-hour minimum for the trolley to standing by or wait for a group to complete an event, the per hour rate would drop to $60.00. This is what is referred to as “stand by time”.  In combination with the historic trolleys and excellent guides, the transportation services add a perfect touch to any off-site event and have become the premier method for groups to transfer from one location to another. 

A fully narrated, historic tour of the North Island Naval Air Station may be also an interesting option. Only Old Town Trolley Tours is permitted access to this historic site. The tour is approximately 2 hours in length and rates for a group of 25 or more are $22.00 per person, including taxes and tips. A minimum of 25 and a maximum of 35 passengers per trolley must be guaranteed. The tour includes a drive along the aircraft carriers, a drive across one of the many flight lines at the base, and a drive-by of the anti-submarine warfare helicopters.
